'Tis the season to shoot indoors...(fa la lala laaa lala la la) Now that our temperatures are dropping (and oh man are they...maybe we'll have a real winter this year?) most of my work moves indoors...something about goosebumps and blue lips just isn't cute in portraits haha!
My studio had a full renovation over the summer (I'll have a future post dedicated to it!) and it's all ready to make some magic this season. I have a pile of holiday crowns, an assortment of beautiful shawls, boleros and capelets, and fistfuls of glitter all waiting to make some timeless holiday portraits of your littles! These images make great gifts for grandparents (and moms! ...I see you guy whose wife forwarded this post haha!)
Through December 31 I will be running my studio holiday sessions for $175 which includes 5 images from your session, access to my client wardrobe, and full styling!
Get in touch asap to reserve your spot- and I can't wait to see you all of your beautiful babies over the coming months!
This season sort of snuck up on me this year. I mean really- how on earth is it Christmas already?!
This year the weather in Denver has been even more unpredictable than usual. This day we went out and it was COLD. Like if a raindrop fell it would be a snowflake cold. The next day of course it was 65 *sigh* So we only went out for about 10 minutes...my poor shivering girl was a champ though!
The good news is- when I decided to focus my photography primarily on kids, I did a little google research...and that whole 'don't go out in the cold because you'll get sick' thing? Myth. Yep. Who knew? Anyways- the point is, no adorable 3 year olds were harmed in the taking of these photos haha!
I only managed to get one shot without the big warm blanket around her- but her super cute dress is from Alice + Ames ; they have the CUTEST basic little dresses. Seriously I could put her in them every day, they're beautiful AND comfy so she can fully play in them and not gripe about something being scratchy. They tend to sell out quickly when they restock so you kind of have to keep a close eye on the site, but it's so worth it. She's actually wearing a size 4 here, and I had this same dress on a 5 1/2 year old little girl just days before- so they definitely offer a couple years of wear which is an added bonus!
Because I am the worst blogger *ever* these never really saw the light of day last year >_< Which is really a shame because my Christmas tree game was on POINT last year. I'm not sure I nailed it quite the same this year, but we also won't be home for Christmas, so I think I get a pass hehe.
Anyways- Christmas tree pictures with littles are just about the most fun ever. They're sparkly, they're covered in shiney breakable things, and they shelter mountains of presents. So yah- it's pretty easy to get kids to have fun around a Christmas tree haha.
In home Christmas tree sessions are something I offer every season starting the day after Thanksgiving, but I only offer a handful each year so I recommend getting in touch with me early if you want one of those spots!
Oh and is it just me, or are Hanna Andersson Christmas jammies just about the cutest thing on the planet?
