This little girl was BORN to be a princess! Once we placed that crown on her head she just lit up. We were racing the rain for a couple hours, but managed to escape before the skies opened up on us, and what a trooper little Elena was when the wind started to kick up! She's only six, but I swear she had the poise and manners of a little adult- what a joy <3
For my first Inspirational Focus I want to target a one of a kind photographer- Hailey Faria. Hailey creates some of THE most incredible styled shoots you will ever see. Her images have such an ethereal quality and she has an amazing talent for snagging the light in exactly the right place (a very helpful talent for a photographer.) A (very) small sampling of her work;
Hailey is currently based out of Oahu, HI but will soon be moving- so if you're planning a family vacation out her way, I highly recommend taking an hour out of your vacation and snagging a session with her- you won't regret it, I know we didn't!

One of my favorite sources of photographic inspiration- Hailey Faria Photography- posted this beautiful quote the other day;
I really couldn't love it more. Sometimes it's hard to look at the incredible work of others and not feel competitive- but creativity really ISN'T about doing what someone else is doing. Creativity is doing what you do best, and being inspired by those around you, so that you can continue to learn and become better at what makes you an artist.
I'm so lucky to be part of an industry that encompasses hundreds and hundreds of incredibly talented creative individuals. So I think I'm going to take some time every once in a while to recognize those who inspire me, and help to make my work better!
I had the pleasure of getting to spend some time photographing one spunky little man this weekend! Zachary has such a sweet smile- made sweeter by the many dogs we encountered! He loves sports already, and let me tell you- this kid can kick a ball!! Catching this age on camera is really special- the littles change SO fast when they're this young, so snagging a piece of what they were like is really magical.
